Oscar Michael G. Tetangco: 2011 Board 8th Placer

World Citi Colleges (Quezon City) congratulates Mr. Oscar Michael G. Tetangco for not only passing the Radiologic Technology Licensure exam last November, but also for placing a magnificent eigth over-all. We are proud of you Oscar! Congratulations also to Maraya Arriane N. Sabariza and Mark Lawrence A. Tabogadir for passing the board too. This accounts for a one hundred percent passing rate for WCC, as always.

Here is one trivia. Oscar and company nearly missed the deadline for filing their application to take the board exam at PRC due to some problems with their transcript. But God is good, since my office was able to fix those, just in the nick of time.

Here are eight questions for an eighth placer:

1. On why he chose Radtech.......
When I was in my senior year in high school my Mom asked me what course do I want to take. Of course I wanted to be a director and the closest to it is to take mutimedia arts and sciences, but it’s not as easy as it looks like, with all those sleepless nights of conceptualizing, etc. It made me realize that maybe it’s not for me, so this time I sought my mother’s advice and she told me to choose among nursing, medtech and radtech. I then found out that radtech has similarities with photography so I took it out of curiosity and not thinking what will I become after haha!

2. On what RadiologicTechnology is all about.......
Damn. Basic question that makes me stop and think haha. Well, Radiologic technology is a branch of science that deals with the application of xrays, gamma rays, etc. to treat or diagnose certain diseases and disorders.

3. On how long he reviewed.......
Two months.

4. On how he would describe the board exam.......
Well it was a 2-day examination. Basically the first day was the hardest, composed of radiation physics, image production and radiologic positioning & techniques. Second day was about radiologic anatomy and radiologic sciences. RADIATION PHYSICS is @#$%%^! I hate that subject.

5. On how he learned of the result.......
I was waiting for dayssss for the results to come out at the internet and when I saw my name at the list I wanted to shout but I couldn’t because I was at the computer shop. So I maintained my composure and thanked God for making all things possible. Then lots of phone calls followed, facebook comments, messages, etc. Hehe.

6. On how it feels to be an 8th placer........
It felt great for a week or two after the results, but then I realized there’s a more deeper thought than being a "top notcher", it’s all about inspiring others, building lives, connecting bridges, and sharing them the light that God showed me.

oath-taking ceremony

7. On the first thing he did after learning of the result........
I called my sister :)

8. On his message for future board takers.......
Dasal, Disiplina, at Kumpiyansa.

Postcript: Now why did you name your tumblr account KILIKILLER?
Hahahahaha!! Imagine using putok.tumblr.com!
