Governor Salceda vs. Xian Lim : THE TALE OF THE SOUVENIR SHIRT

The rift between Xian Lim and Albay Governor Joey Salceda over the former’s alleged impolite behavior during an event in Albay has caught my attention.

The conflict arose from Xian’s refusal to accept Albayanon souvenir items that included a t-shirt, a coffee table book, a small bag, and some leaflets. Apparently, such items are the usual tokens given to distinguished visitors of the province.

On the Fallen 44: What Kris May Have Forgotten

Every time that our President becomes enmeshed in a controversy, expect his Queen-of-All-Media sister to be among the first few to throw the staunchest support.  

Just recently, Kris Aquino unfollowed fellow celebrity Judy Ann Santos on Instagram, after the latter posted something not palatable to the former, with reference to PNOY’s absence during the arrival of the bodies of the so called Fallen 44 at Villamor Airbase last January 29.

ME AND ROBINSONS: ALL IS WELL THAT ENDS WELL

Last January 16, I got a surprise call from Robinsons. Being a holiday, I was just at home watching Pope Francis’ televised activities. It was my Aunt, however, who picked up the phone. And the caller I guess simply requested her to relay the message to me: that they extended the redemption period for the points I earned through my Value Plus card.  

If you still remember, I created a furor about this matter when my card expired last December 31, 2014. This led me to write an article about it on this blog to express my disappointment, that nobody from Robinsons’ supermarket branch in Berkeley Square informed me of the expiry date beforehand, considering the fact that I frequent their place for my grocery shopping.
