Patience is a virtue, and we all know this for a fact.
However, the question that comes to mind is how often do we subscribe to such
maxim?
This current situation that we are facing has been
testing our patience. I know that we are all itching to go out of our homes and put some degree of normalcy in our lives.
But not just yet, as the troublesome virus is still
out there.
Knowingly or unknowingly, we are actually practicing
the aforesaid maxim in relation to our current situation – now more than ever.
A lot of things that we do now require tons of
patience. How much did you use when you went to the grocery, drug store, or
bank? More than the usual amount I guess.
Many of us are impatient in one way or another. We
want things done immediately, for there is still a long line of tasks to be attended
to. As such, we are always seated at the driver’s seat, making our own
decisions, and getting things done our way.
But our current situation has made us move to the
passenger’s seat, and patiently wait for the time that we can lay our hands on
the steering wheel once again, for there are things that are definitely beyond our control
at this time.
Perhaps, God is telling us to be patient, and put our
trust in Him that all will be well soon.
We just have to be, yes, patient.
