Online selling is something that is not new to us. And
this global health crisis that we are experiencing made us appreciate this
business activity even more.
Who would have thought that you can buy your
vegetables online?
As they say, there is opportunity in crisis. And many
sellers have resorted to the online platform in order to continue their
business.
Many people have also become instant businessmen,
selling their goods online. Haven’t you noticed that some of your friends in
Facebook have started selling a variety of stuff like food, PPEs, supplements
(sodium ascorbate!), and many other essentials (and even non-essentials)?
And at this time of crisis, it would be nice if we can
purchase a thing or two from our online seller friends. They are doing business
not just for the heck of it. Not because they have all time in the world, and
not because they are bored at home.
The reality is that many people nowadays have lost
their jobs, permanently or temporarily. And engaging themselves in a humble
business is a decent way of making ends meet.
So why not patronize their products?
If we buy from them, then we are able to help them.
But this is not just a one way equation. We benefit too, since we get to use
whatever we have purchased from them (whether essential or non-essential).
As a final thought, let us help each other, in order to get by most especially during this very trying time.

Postscript:
I recently purchased an electric fan online, from an employee of our school who is selling appliances at the moment.
In addition, when we make purchases online, we also help delivery riders earn a living.
