Move over a bit AlDub.
Here’s AlDav for the meantime, and
here are some lessons I learned from this new duo, when actress-turned-senatorial
candidate Alma Moreno guested recently on Headstart hosted by broadcast
journalist Karen Davila.
1.
You don’t come to an interview unprepared. Going to an interview is like
going to a battlefield – be ready with all
your ammunitions. Sadly, Alma
Moreno just brought a water gun with her.
2.
Karen Davila will make a good lawyer someday. The studio
metamorphosed into a pseudo courtroom as
she interrogated and
cross-examined Alma very well. If I were in
the latter’s shoes,
would have summoned a lawyer.
3.
You don’t want to be humiliated on national TV, and become the national
laughing stock the day after.
4.
As a candidate for a legislative position (and any position for that matter),
you
must be well versed with issues that are plaguing our country. If you
have
minimal awareness of the goings-on in the country, then better go
back to acting or singing.
5.
Many Filipinos are still deficient in knowledge when it comes to the
Reproductive Health Bill. This includes some
of our political aspirants
unfortunately, just like…..
6.
There are terms that have several meanings, depending on how they are
used in a sentence. The term RESERVATION
is one of those.
7.
Showbiz personalities who have seen better days as far as their career is
is concerned reincarnate themselves as
politicians. However, this is not
always the best option. Have mercy on our
country.
How about you, what lessons have you learned?
