I’ll go straight to the point: the road
back to love is a long and winding one.
It takes a great deal of time to be on
track again. Most especially when for several years your thoughts and emotions
have been conditioned by the heart to aim at just one thing, or one person.
During such time also, you have done
your best ceaselessly, but were left unappreciated at the end of each day.
But you keep doing your best, until you
become sick and tired of it all. You have no choice then but to recoil, and pick up
the pieces.
Subsequently and inevitably, love starts to fade.
But winter isn’t forever, for after it
comes spring. At this time plants start to grow and flowers start to bloom.
Your broken and dormant heart starts to be invigorated - to love yourself, to
love others, and to love life.
But the road back to love isn’t like a
walk in the park, for you stumble upon memories both pleasant and unlikable. You then pause for a while, either to smile or to frown.
The passage of time, however,
inexplicably thaws a heart that is wintry.
So it’s spring time once again, and you
have finally reached your destination after that long and winding road - YOUR SELF.
Get out of your shell for winter is
done. Appreciate the greenery outside, and feel the the gentle breeze.
Allow your heart and soul to be nurtured
by the rays of the sun…….
…….that spell a different name this
time :)
